.. Before the mind glides
The eve of the times when a man lost himself in the dark
Deaf born before the silent Sphinx of Life;
When from eternity the depths of the invisible
Inexpressible, incomprehensible jellyfish
Her worries are spreading over the world.
- Clark Ashton Smith, Sphinx & Medusa

The title of the album, "Lullabies of Nifelim," speaks of half-serpent creatures giving inspiration and knowledge, described in Tim Powers' book "The stress of her regard", and directly, having its origins in the ancient Indian civilization of Nagov, Sanskr. नाग; nag - “serpent” - serpentine mythical creatures present in both Hinduism and Buddhism. Depicted in the form of snakes with a human torso and a human head, sheltered from above by a fan of snake heads. They live in caves and reservoirs, on the ground, in the water or underground. The mythology of the "man-snake" has ancient roots. Nagas are depicted with the head of a man. Nag is a symbol of wisdom. There is a cult of the snake and related holidays. It is believed that the serpent-naga was a totem of one of the powerful ancient tribes, whose representatives were called nagas. The sage Patanjali is depicted as a naga, the upper half of which has a human appearance. It is claimed that the nagas kept the truth secret until people were ripe for its understanding. The planets of Mahatala and Patala (Nagaloka) are populated by nagas. In the form of a snake they depict kundalini, energy rising in a person from spiritual practice from the lowest psychophysiological center (chakra) to the highest, where merging with God. Nag Muchalinda protected Buddha with his hood from the scorching sun during his meditation before enlightenment.

The cover of the album depicts Naga Kanya, the goddess of the three kingdoms. She is the keeper of underwater treasures and spiritual achievements. She has a female upper body and a lower water snake. Above her head rises a dome in the form of a seven-headed cobra, symbolizing the spiritual strength of Kanyi. Behind her shoulder blades above her shoulder blades, a gem sparkles in her forehead. In his hands, Naga Kanya holds a shell, symbolizing her desire to shed blessings on those who seek her wisdom.
